Last month, two university colleagues, Baron Benedict and Antony Duncan, and I had the pleasure of going to Chishui, Zunyi, Guizhou Province, to experience a thrilling trip to hunting with bows and arrows. All three of us are lovers of the outdoors and adventure, always looking for a way to make us feel the original pleasure of hunting. After searching on the Internet, we found Chishui City, which is not only rich in natural resources and beautiful scenery, but also has a long bow and arrow culture and hunting tradition. We decided to go there to try the feeling of hunting with bows and arrows, and also to admire the local history and customs.

In order to guarantee our safety and efficiency, we chose infrared binoculars from the Chinese brand WildGuarder as our equipment. This infrared binoculars is a military night vision instrument that uses photoelectric conversion technology, which can clearly observe and aim at targets in the dark, unaffected by environmental factors such as smoke, rain and snow. It can also do wireless data transmission, allowing us to share our vision and information in real time, increasing our team’s ability to collaborate. This infrared binoculars is one of the best value for money products on the market right now, we ordered three units online and received the goods quickly.

With excitement and anticipation, we embarked on our trip to Chishui. In the following days, we saw the magnificent landscapes, strange landscapes, ancient ruins, folk customs of Chishui City, and experienced the thrill and challenge of hunting with bows and arrows. In this article, I will explain in detail what we have seen and felt in Chishui City, and the help and advantages that WildGuarder infrared binoculars have brought us. I hope that you can also feel the beauty of red water and the fun of hunting.

Our first stop is the Chishui River, a first-class tributary of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River in China, named for its high sand content and red color. The Chishui River originates in Zhenxiong County, Yunnan Province, flows through Guizhou and Sichuan Provinces, and finally empties into the Yangtze River in Hejiang County. The total length is 436.5 kilometers, and the area of the river basin is 20,440 square kilometers. The Chishui River is the only river in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River that is not blocked by locks and dams and maintains a natural flow pattern, and there are more than 160 species of fish in the river basin. The Chishui River is also the place where the Chinese Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army passed during the Long March, and the famous battle of Sidu Chishui took place. Along the Chishui River, it is also home to famous wines, and famous wines such as Maotai, Xijiu, and Langjiu are all produced here.

We started from Zunyi City and drove up the Chishui River to enjoy the scenery on both sides. We saw the upper reaches of the Chishui River, which is rich in karst formations, deep valleys and rapids. We saw Wugong Beach, a 10-kilometer-long beach with a drop of 200 meters. We saw Baiyangping, a place with thousand-year-old villages and ethnic customs. We saw Ladder Rock, a place with peculiar landscapes and mysterious legends.

We found a suitable hunting site near Ladder Rock, which has lush forests and abundant wildlife. We decided to camp there and started our hunting activities. We used the WildGuarder infrared binoculars as our auxiliary device, which allows us to clearly observe and aim at targets in the dark, unaffected by environmental factors such as smoke, rain and snow. It can also do wireless data transmission, allowing us to share our vision and information in real time, increasing our team’s ability to collaborate.

We were divided into three groups, each with one person for archery and one for observation and command. We used the bow and arrow as our weapon, which allowed us to feel the fun and challenge of primitive hunting. We move and hide quietly in the forest, looking for suitable prey. We met a wide variety of animals, some cute little animals such as squirrels, rabbits, hedgehogs, etc.; Some are ferocious large animals such as wild boars, bison, wolves, etc.; Others are rare protected animals, such as golden monkeys, pangolins, clouded leopards, etc.

We respect nature and life, and we only hunt those animals that can be legally hunted, and only as much as we need. We don’t hunt cute little animals, we don’t hunt fierce big animals, we don’t hunt rare protected animals. We use bows and arrows to kill as much as possible to avoid causing the animal to suffer too much. We feel the process of each arrow shooting and the joy of hitting the target every time.

We hunted near Ladder Rock for two days and harvested quite a bit of prey. We made delicious game with our prey and shared it with the local villagers. We also made some souvenirs from the fur of our prey as souvenirs. We are grateful to Chishui River for giving us such an unforgettable hunting experience, allowing us to feel the charm of nature and the mystery of life.
