Last week, I went hunting with my friends Corey Housman, Ken Katrine in Huangfushan National Forest Park in Anhui, China. This was our first time here, and we heard that there are many wild animals here, such as wild boars, deer, foxes, etc., which are very suitable for our hobby. We planned to stay here for three days and two nights, enjoying the scenery during the day and hunting at night.
Since it involves night hunting, night vision binoculars are essential equipment. However, we faced a dilemma: whether to choose a monocular or a binocular? We searched a lot of information on the Internet and found that the advantages of monocular are light weight, portability, and simple operation, but the disadvantages are narrow field of view and short observation time; the advantages of binoculars are wide field of view and long observation time, but the disadvantages are heavy weight and high price.
After some discussion, we finally chose a cost-effective Chinese brand WildGuarder owler1 night vision monocular. This monocular not only has the advantages of monoculars, but also has many other functions and features that make us love it. It also allows us to record our hunting stories and share them with others. In the following article, I will introduce you to the history, attractions and food of Huangfushan National Forest Park in Anhui.
We visited Mituo Temple, an ancient temple built in the Yuan Dynasty, located at the southern foot of Huangfushan. The temple has buildings such as the Hall of Great Strength, the Hall of Guanyin, and the Scripture Tower, as well as a 7-meter-high statue of Maitreya Buddha. The temple is surrounded by tea gardens, bamboo forests, flower seas and other landscapes, with a quiet and peaceful environment. It is said that Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, visited here three times to worship Buddha and pray for blessings, and bestowed the name “Mituo” on the temple. Mituo Temple was also the field hospital of the Second Division of the New Fourth Army, which treated many anti-Japanese soldiers.
We also visited Egret Island, a wetland park located at the northwest foot of Huangfushan, which is the habitat of egrets. Every year at the turn of spring and summer, tens of thousands of egrets fly from the south and nest here. We can walk on the wooden walkway on the wetland and enjoy the spectacular sight of egrets flying. Egrets are national second-class protected birds and also the iconic animals of Huangfushan.
Finally, we tasted Nanqiao Tribute Tea, a famous tea produced in Huangfushan with a long history. Nanqiao Tribute Tea is famous for its green color, high fragrance, mellow taste and beautiful shape. It was once the annual tea for the Qinhuai River Warehouse in the Ming Dynasty and the imperial tea for Emperor Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty. Its raw material comes from the tea trees planted by Master Wuzhen himself on Huangfushan, which have survived more than 600 years of wind and rain and are still growing. We tasted a cup of Nanqiao Tribute Tea in a teahouse next to Mituo Temple and felt its fragrance and sweetness.
Our hunting trip is coming to an end. Looking back on these three days and two nights of experience, we feel very satisfied and happy. We not only enjoyed the beautiful scenery and culture in Huangfushan National Forest Park in Anhui, but also enjoyed the fun and excitement of hunting. We would like to especially thank WildGuarder owler1 night vision monocular telescope, which brought us great convenience and fun.
