I am a person who loves outdoor sports and adventures. I have two like-minded friends, Reg Carpenter and Georgia Agnes, who are also my hunting partners. Last week, we decided to go camping and hunting at Tianluhu Forest Park in Guangzhou, China, to experience different natural scenery and cultural atmosphere. Since we planned to hunt at night, we needed a high-performance night vision binoculars. After searching many brands and models online, we chose the Wildguarder Owler1 night vision binoculars from a brand in Shenzhen, China. Its main feature is that it can see clearly up to a distance of 1640 feet/500 meters in complete darkness, supports 20x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom, and has excellent optical clarity and high-performance night vision function. We hope it can bring us an unforgettable hunting trip.
Tianluhu Forest Park is located in the northeast of Huangpu District, Guangzhou, about 10 kilometers away from the city center. It is a provincial forest park that integrates natural landscapes, ecological tourism, leisure and entertainment, and popular science education. The park covers an area of 880 hectares, mainly hills, with the highest point at Niutou Mountain, which is 362 meters above sea level. The park has dense trees, rich tree species, including pine, laurel, camphor, banyan, and other precious trees, as well as various flowers, herbs, and vines. The air is fresh, and the oxygen content is high, making it a natural oxygen bar.
The biggest feature of the park is the ecological landscape of a large-scale Adonis flower in Guangzhou, called “Thousand-Mu Adonis Flower.” Every March and April, the Adonis flowers bloom one after another, hanging on the vines like groups of Adonis birds, which is very beautiful. Adonis flowers are a rare and endangered wild plant, known as “the most beautiful wild flower in China.” Enjoying the flowers and taking pictures here is a rare enjoyment.
In addition to Adonis flowers, the park also has many other natural and cultural landscapes. For example, Tianlu Lake is an artificial lake with a wide surface and clear water. There are pavilions, towers, stone bridges, and paths along the lake, where you can take a boat ride or stroll along the lake. There are also attractions such as the Jungle Flying Adventure Park, Qianniu Valley, and Moxing Ridge, where you can experience different entertainment projects and explore the beauty of nature.
The park’s ticket price is very cheap, only 5 yuan RMB can enter. The opening hours are from 9:00 to 17:00 every day. The park’s transportation is also very convenient. You can take subway line 6 to Huangpi Station and then transfer to a bus or taxi to get there.
My friends and I booked tickets and camping equipment online in advance and set off on a weekend morning. We arrived at the entrance of Tianluhu Forest Park, bought tickets, and started our camping and hunting trip. We went to the campsite first to rent tents and other camping supplies, and then found a location near the lake to build our small home. The tent was spacious enough to accommodate four people, and there were sleeping bags, moisture-proof mats, pillows, etc. inside, which was very comfortable.
After putting our luggage away, we went to the Jungle Flying Adventure Park. There were various exciting projects here, such as skydiving, high-altitude zipline, rock climbing, etc. We tried them all and felt very exciting and fun. My favorite was skydiving, which allowed me to jump from one platform to another, just like flying in the air, very fulfilling.
After playing for a while, we went to the Thousand-Mu Adonis Flower area. This is the biggest feature of the park, and the Adonis flowers are all over the mountains and plains, which is amazing. Adonis flowers come in many colors such as red, yellow, and white, like a magnificent painting. We took many photos in the flower sea and also picked some flowers to make flower crowns, feeling like fairies.
After enjoying the flowers, we went to the barbecue area by the lake to prepare for our dinner. We booked a barbecue package online in advance, including beef, lamb, chicken wings, corn, and other ingredients, as well as charcoal and barbecue tools. We found a spot by the lake, lit the charcoal, and started cooking delicious food. We ate and chatted, and the atmosphere was very warm.
After dinner, it was already dark, and we returned to the tent to rest. I took out my Wildguarder Owler1 night vision binoculars, ready to see the wild animals at night. This binoculars is specially designed for hunting and observing wildlife, and can clearly see the shape and movement of animals in the dark. I adjusted the binoculars to the best state and started looking for my target.
I soon found a small deer eating grass in the bushes. Its eyes were shining, and its body was slender. I quietly approached it, wanting to take pictures of it. But it seemed to sense my presence and suddenly raised its head to look at me. I was startled and quickly pressed the shutter. But it was too late, and the deer turned around and ran away. I only took a picture of its tail, which was a bit regrettable. But I didn’t give up. I continued to use the binoculars to find other animals. I soon found a fox sneaking in the forest. Its fur was beautiful, like a flame. I followed it carefully, wanting to see what it was doing. I found that it was approaching a sleeping rabbit and seemed to want to catch it. I nervously held my breath and didn’t dare to make any noise. Just as the fox was about to pounce on the rabbit, the rabbit suddenly woke up and jumped up and ran away. The fox lost its target and had to shake its head and leave. I quickly took a picture of this scene and felt lucky to witness such a scene.
I saw a hedgehog slowly walking on the grassland again. Its body was covered with sharp spines, which looked cute. I wanted to get close to it, but I was afraid of scaring it. I decided to lure it with food. I took out some breadcrumbs from my backpack and scattered them not far from it. The hedgehog smelled the food and curiously walked over to eat the breadcrumbs. I approached it and gently touched its head with my hand. It did not resist, instead, it closed its eyes and enjoyed the touch. I felt its trust and warmth, and I was happy.
I also saw many other animals, such as squirrels, sparrows, butterflies, and so on, which made me feel surprised and joyful. I recorded these beautiful moments with a telescope and camera, feeling like an explorer who discovered a new world.
The night passed quickly, and the sky began to turn light. I packed up my things and prepared to watch the sunrise. I walked to a high point by the lake and waited for the sun to rise. Soon, a red light emerged from the horizon, gradually turning into golden and orange, dyeing the sky with colorful clouds. The sun rose slowly like a huge fireball, illuminating the whole world. I was shocked by such a beautiful scenery and felt lucky yet small.
Guangzhou Tianluhu Forest Park not only has beautiful natural scenery but also rich human culture and delicious local cuisine. Here, we not only enjoyed the fun of camping and hunting but also experienced the local way of life and food culture.
We had a traditional Cantonese meal at the Yulus Villa near the park, experiencing the delicacy and refinement of Cantonese people. Yulus Villa is a restaurant featuring deer meat, which is a healthy food with high protein, low fat, and low cholesterol. It has the effects of nourishing qi and blood, strengthening bones and muscles, nourishing yin and moistening dryness, and so on. We tasted various dishes made with deer meat, such as deer meat hot pot, deer meat soup, deer meat Siu Mai, etc., which were fresh, tender, fragrant, and delicious.
In addition to deer meat, we also tried some other Cantonese specialty foods, such as preserved egg and lean meat porridge, char siu bao, shrimp dumplings, chicken feet, and home-cooked dishes such as white-cut chicken, coconut chicken, and salt-baked chicken. We found that Cantonese cuisine emphasizes the original flavor of the ingredients and does not add too many seasonings, highlighting the taste of the ingredients. Cantonese people also like to eat some exotic foods, such as snakes, field frogs, turtles, etc., which are said to have certain medicinal value. Although we did not have the courage to try, we admired the Cantonese people’s appetite and courage.
In addition to eating and drinking, we also talked with the locals about some interesting topics, learning about local customs, habits, and historical stories. We found that Guangzhou people are very hospitable, cheerful, and humorous, and they like to chat and sing. They are proud of their city and attach great importance to the protection and inheritance of traditional culture. They told us that Guangzhou is an ancient city with a history of more than 2,000 years, the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road, and the birthplace of Lingnan culture. Guangzhou has many historical landmarks and cultural relics, such as Chen Clan Academy, Liurong Temple, Five Rams Statue, etc., which are worth seeing.
We had a memorable time in Guangzhou Tianluhu Forest Park, not only enjoying the beauty of nature but also experiencing the richness of human culture. We left a deep impression on this city and showed respect and love for this land.
During this trip to Guangzhou Tianluhu Forest Park, we used the Wildguarder owler1 night vision binoculars, which brought us a lot of convenience and surprises. Its advantages are:
Its night vision function is very powerful, which can observe the shape and behavior of animals clearly in the dark, allowing us not to miss any exciting moments.
Its binocular design allows us to observe with both eyes at the same time, reducing eye fatigue and discomfort, and improving the comfort and efficiency of observation.
Its light weight, small size, and beautiful appearance are convenient to carry and use, not occupying too much space and weight.
Its price is reasonable, and the cost-effectiveness is high. Compared with other similar products, it is more competitive and attractive.
Of course, it also has some areas for improvement, such as:
Its battery life is limited and needs to be charged or replaced frequently, otherwise, it will affect the use effect and experience.
Its waterproof performance is not good enough. If it encounters wet environments such as rain and snow, it may damage the equipment or reduce the clarity.
Its operation is somewhat complicated, and it needs to read the instructions or be familiar with the function keys to use. For first-time users or those who are not good at technology, it may be a bit difficult.
In short, the Wildguarder owler1 night vision binoculars are a recommended product, which allowed us to gain more joy and harvest in camping and hunting. We hope it can continue to improve and innovate, providing better service and experience for more users.
Finally, we would like to thank Guangzhou Tianluhu Forest Park for providing us with such a good tourist destination, allowing us to feel the charm of nature and the enthusiasm of Guangzhou people. We strongly recommend everyone to come here and have a look, and we believe you will have different gains and touches.
