I am a female who loves hunting, and I have two like-minded friends, Lorraine Emma and Sylvia Rockefeller. The three of us often explore different hunting locations together, enjoying the intimacy with nature. Last month, we decided to hunt in Wichita, in the Midwest of the United States. This is a place with rich wildlife resources and beautiful scenery. Since we wanted to experience the excitement of night hunting, we had to prepare some professional equipment, such as night vision binoculars. Among many brands, we chose the cost-effective Chinese brand, wildguarder, which not only allowed us to see the target clearly in the dark, but also ensured our safety and comfort. In this article, I will share our experiences and feelings during our hunting trip in Wichita, as well as the surprises and conveniences brought by wildguarder night vision binoculars.
Wichita is the largest city in Kansas, located along the Arkansas River. It is a historic trade center and cultural hub. Southwest of Wichita is an ancient granite mountain range called the Wichita Mountains. This is a national wildlife refuge, covering about 60,000 acres of mixed grassland, clear lakes, streams, and various wildlife. Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge is one of the oldest wildlife refuges in the United States, established in 1901, aimed at protecting and restoring endangered species such as American bison, longhorn cattle, and Rocky Mountain elk. In addition to these large mammals, there are also deer, foxes, groundhogs, owls, bald eagles, quails, and other animals.
Due to the rich wildlife resources and beautiful natural scenery, Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge has become an ideal place for hunters. There are some controlled hunting activities held here every year, including mule deer, white-tailed deer, youth turkey, and spring turkey hunting. These activities require online application in advance and participants are selected by random drawing. Due to limited quotas, the competition is fierce. In addition to controlled hunting, hunting of waterfowl (ducks, geese, teal, and water birds) is also allowed in some areas. Regardless of which hunting activity is participated in, hunters must comply with federal and state hunting regulations and hold valid state hunting licenses. Hunters over 16 years old must also hold a migratory bird hunting stamp.
We three applied to participate in the white-tailed deer hunting activity online in May this year and were lucky enough to be selected. We were very excited to prepare our luggage and equipment and flew to Wichita in October. We rented a car locally and drove to the refuge. Along the way, we enjoyed the beautiful grassland scenery and felt the friendliness and enthusiasm of the local people. We booked a small cabin inside the refuge in advance and planned to stay there for a week. We brought enough food and water and handled our garbage according to the refuge’s regulations. We also brought our most important equipment – wildguarder night vision binoculars.
We spent a week in the nature reserve, hunting and observing wild animals every day. We followed the hunting rules of the reserve, such as not exceeding the limited number of game, not using automatic or semi-automatic weapons, not operating in forbidden hunting areas, etc. We also respected the rights of other hunters and tourists, not disturbing their activities or peace. During the hunt, we encountered many interesting and thrilling situations, such as almost being charged by an angry longhorn bull and encountering a curious fox that followed us all the way to our cabin.
In these situations, the wildguarder night vision binoculars were of great help. This night vision binoculars has many advantages, allowing us to see clearly and accurately in the dark. First of all, it has high clarity, allowing us to see fine details such as animal eyes, ears, and nose. Secondly, it has good stability, allowing us to maintain a clear view even when moving or bouncing. Thirdly, it has strong durability, able to withstand harsh environments such as moisture, dust, and temperature changes. Finally, it has a reasonable price, much cheaper than other brands of night vision binoculars but with no compromise on quality.
With the wildguarder night vision binoculars, we achieved good results in hunting. Each of us successfully caught a white-tailed deer and brought them back to the cabin according to the regulations. We divided the venison into several portions and cooked a delicious dinner with one of them. We also kept the deer hides and antlers as souvenirs. We took many photos and shared them with our families and friends, feeling very satisfied and proud.
In addition to hunting, we also used our free time to visit some of Wichita’s attractions and restaurants, experiencing the local culture and flavor. Wichita is a vibrant and creative city with many places worth visiting, such as museums, parks, zoos, theaters, etc. We visited the Wichita Art Museum, enjoying various artworks including those from local artists and world-famous paintings. We also visited the Exploration Place, experiencing various wonders of science and technology such as flight simulators, hurricane chambers, mini golf, etc. We also went to the visitor center of the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, learning about the history and mission of the refuge, as well as the habits and characteristics of wild animals.
Regarding food, we also tried some local cuisine and specialty restaurants. Wichita has many different flavored restaurants, such as American, Mexican, Italian, Asian, etc. We went to a restaurant called The Monarch, tasting their signature dishes – smoked ribs and barbecue burgers. The meat was tender and juicy, served with their homemade sauce and pickles, and we enjoyed it very much. We also went to a restaurant called Molino’s Mexican Cuisine, savoring their authentic Mexican dishes such as corn tortillas, corn enchiladas, corn porridge, etc. These dishes were made with fresh ingredients and served with their special chili sauce and cheese sauce, allowing us to experience the passion and flavor of Mexico.
Our hunting trip to Wichita was an unforgettable experience. We not only enjoyed the fun of hunting but also appreciated the scenery and food of the local area, as well as making new friends. We are very grateful for the wildguarder night vision binoculars, which allowed us to see clearly and accurately in the dark, improving our hunting efficiency and safety. We strongly recommend this night vision binoculars to other hunting enthusiasts, as it will make your hunting trip even more perfect. We also thank the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, which provided us with a beautiful and rich hunting place, allowing us to feel the charm of nature and the wonder of life. We hope to have the opportunity to come back here again to explore and discover more surprises.
