I am a person who loves nature and adventure, and hunting is one of my favorite sports. This time, my two friends, Elmer Jenny and Theresa Jeames, and I went hunting together in Yunlu Mountain in Nanyang, Henan, China. Yunlu Mountain is a National AAAA-level scenic spot with beautiful natural scenery and abundant biological resources, making it an ideal place for hunting. We planned to stay there for three days and two nights, visit the scenic spots during the day, and hunt at night. The main scenic spots of Yunlu Mountain include Heilongtan, Yaohulu Tan, Leipishi, Yaowang Temple, Yaowangpu, Baotapu, Baota Academy, development base, business meetings, etc. The Baota Waterfall has a drop of 126 meters, and is known as the “first waterfall group of Funiu Mountain”. We chose this place as our hunting destination because we wanted to experience the charm of nature, explore the mysterious Medicine King culture, challenge ourselves, and enjoy the excitement of adventure.

The Medicine King Temple was built in the Tang Dynasty and has undergone many restorations. The existing buildings are in the style of the Qing Dynasty, covering an area of about 5,000 square meters, and are divided into two courtyards, front and rear. The main buildings include the mountain gate, bell tower, main hall, and east and west wing rooms. The Medicine King Temple displays Sun Simiao’s life and medical achievements, as well as some precious Chinese herbal medicines and medical equipment. We paid tribute to Sun Simiao’s statue in the Medicine King Temple, felt his benevolent medical skills, and learned some knowledge and health preservation methods of traditional Chinese medicine. We also tasted some local delicacies and specialties, such as Medicine King cake, Medicine King wine, and Medicine King tea, which were made from unique Chinese herbal medicines of Yunlu Mountain, providing certain health and therapeutic effects. We felt that these foods were both delicious and healthy, allowing us to indulge in them.
In conclusion, this Yunlu Mountain hunting trip has brought me a lot, not only exercising my body but also broadening my horizons and deepening my friendship.
