Nanhua Mountain National Forest Park is located in the southwest of Hunan Province, and is one of the largest forest parks in China. It has a rich variety of vegetation and animals, and is a paradise for nature lovers and hunters. Last week, I came here with two friends, John Chaplin and Egbert Grey, and had an unforgettable night hunting trip.

Nanhua Mountain National Forest Park has complex terrain, variable climate, and diverse animal species, some of which are rare and protected. Therefore, before we set off, we had to apply for a legal hunting license, understand the local regulations and taboos, and bring the necessary tools and weapons.

Among all the equipment, the most important one is night vision binoculars. This is because in Nanhua Mountain National Forest Park, many animals are nocturnal, and it is difficult to find their traces and locations without night vision binoculars. Night vision binoculars can use weak light or infrared to magnify and display clear images of the dark scenes. With them, we can observe various animals at night, even some rare species that are hard to see normally.hunting

Of course, not all-night vision binoculars are suitable for hunting. We need to choose some products that have good performance, reliable brand, and reasonable price. After searching online, we decided to buy infrared binoculars. These binoculars can not only see the shape and color of animals in the dark, but also measure their body temperature and distance. This way, we can more accurately judge their state and position, and make better hunting decisions.

With these preparations, we confidently started our trip to Nanhua Mountain National Forest Park. Next, I will introduce you to our hunting experience here, as well as the thrilling and interesting things we encountered. I believe you will feel our passion and joy, and also have curiosity and longing for this beautiful and magical place.

Since Nanhua Mountain National Forest Park is located in a subtropical region, the climate here is warm and humid, with four distinct seasons. We chose to come here in autumn, because the temperature is suitable in this season, not too hot or too cold, and the scenery is also very beautiful. Nanhua Mountain National Forest Park has very complex terrain, with mountains, canyons, plains, rivers, lakes and other landforms. We chose a moderate route according to our interests and abilities. We entered from the east gate, followed the main peak of Nanhua Mountain, and then came out from the west gate. This way, we can enjoy the various scenery of the park, and also meet more animals.

In terms of equipment and weapons, we chose some light and practical items. We brought a large backpack with some simple food, water, clothing, sleeping bags, tents, matches, knives, ropes, first aid kits and other necessities. We also brought a hunting rifle, a pistol, a bow and arrow, some bullets and arrowheads. Of course, the most important piece of equipment is night vision binoculars. We bought infrared binoculars online. This is a product that has good performance, reliable brand, and reasonable price. It can not only see the shape and color of animals in the dark, but also measure their body temperature and distance. With it, we can observe various animals at night, even some rare species that are hard to see normally.

In terms of hunting license, we applied for a hunting license for Nanhua Mountain National Forest Park online in advance, and paid the corresponding fee. This license is an electronic document valid for one week. It allows us to hunt legally in the park, and specifies the types and quantities of animals we can capture. For example, we can capture one wild boar, two pheasants, three rabbits, etc. But we cannot capture some rare species with high protection level, such as black panther, leopard, giant panda, etc. If we violate these regulations, we will be severely punished.

When we go hunting, we should be mindful of safety and the environment. Here are some tips to follow. First, let’s respect the park rules and signs, and stay away from places that are off-limits or risky. We should also protect nature and not harm or litter it. Second, let’s watch out for wild animals that might hurt or infect us, and avoid bothering or angering them. We should also steer clear of plants or animals that are poisonous or unfamiliar, and not touch or eat them. Third, let’s be quiet and careful, and not make a lot of noise or light. We should also leave no trace or trash behind, and get along with other hunters.

With these preparations, we can start our hunting trip with confidence. We look forward to having an unforgettable night hunting trip in Nanhua Mountain National Forest Park.

Our hunting trip in Nanhua Mountain National Forest Park lasted for five days and four nights. In these five days, we experienced different experiences in the day and night, and also encountered interesting or dangerous situations. Here, I will share with you some of our hunting stories, let you feel our passion and joy.

On the first day, we entered the park from the east gate and followed the main peak of Nanhua Mountain. The scenery here is very beautiful, with dense forests, clear streams, strange rocks and so on. Along the way we saw a lot of small animals, such as squirrels, birds, butterflies and so on. We did not intend to capture them, just appreciate their cute and lively. We also saw some traces of large animals, such as wild boars, deer, foxes and so on. We used night vision binoculars to observe their location and direction, and then quietly followed them. Soon we found a wild boar drinking water by the river. We immediately found a suitable position and aimed at it with a hunting rifle. After making sure that there were no other animals or humans nearby, we fired a shot and successfully hit the wild boar. This was our first trophy, very happy. We went over and confirmed that the wild boar was dead, and then skinned and dissected it with knives. The fur and bones were left behind, which can be used to make some handicrafts later. We cut the wild boar meat into small pieces and put them in a plastic bag, which can be made into some delicacies later. We buried the wild boar’s viscera and blood in the soil to avoid attracting other animals’ attention.

On the second day, we continued to follow the main peak of Nanhua Mountain. The terrain here became steeper, with many towering mountains, deep canyons, steep cliffs and so on. We had to climb and jump carefully, not to fall or slip. The animals here also became scarcer and more hidden, hard to see their figures. We used night vision binoculars to constantly search the surrounding environment, hoping to find some valuable targets. Just when we were about to give up, we suddenly saw a rare black panther walking on the hillside. Black panther is a very beautiful and mysterious animal, it has black fur and shiny eyes. It is a rare species with high protection level, rarely seen in Nanhua Mountain National Forest Park. We were very surprised to see it, but also knew that we could not capture it, otherwise we would be severely punished. So, we just used night vision binoculars to observe it for a while, and then took some photos as a souvenir.

huntingOn the third day, we reached the top of the main peak of Nanhua Mountain. This is the highest point of the park, where you can overlook the whole park’s scenery. We set up a tent here, planning to spend the night here. We made a hearty dinner with wild boar meat and some wild vegetables, and then chatted and sang around the campfire. We felt like we were in heaven, forgetting all our troubles and pressures. Just when we were about to go to sleep, we heard a series of wolf howls. We were startled, and quickly picked up night vision binoculars, and found that we were surrounded by a pack of wolves. Wolves are very smart and fierce animals; they usually hunt and attack in groups. We immediately picked up our weapons, ready to deal with the wolf attack. Fortunately, the wolves did not launch an attack immediately, but observed and threatened us from a distance. We did not fire either, but tried to scare them away with sound and movement. So, we confronted the wolves for more than an hour, until dawn. When the sun rose, the wolves finally gave up the attack, and slowly retreated. We breathed a sigh of relief, feeling very lucky and fortunate.

On the fourth day, we came down from the main peak of Nanhua Mountain, and headed for the west gate. The terrain here became flatter and more open, with many grasslands, lakes, swamps and so on. The animals here also became more diverse and active, with many birds, fish, amphibians, reptiles and so on. On the way, we saw many beautiful and strange animals, such as swans, egrets, carp, frogs, snakes, turtles and so on. We used night vision binoculars to observe their habits and characteristics, and learned a lot of knowledge and anecdotes. We also observed some hidden animals, such as ducks, otters, minks and so on. They used the plants or soil in the water to make their own nests or hiding places, where they lived safely.

On the fifth day, we arrived at the west gate, and ended our hunting trip. In these five days, we captured a wild boar, two pheasants, three rabbits, four pigeons, five quails and so on. These are all legal and delicious animals; we can use them to make various handicrafts and delicacies. In addition, we also saw many rare and beautiful animals, such as black panther, leopard, giant panda and so on. These are rare species with high protection level, rarely seen in Nanhua Mountain National Forest Park, we were very lucky to see them.

This is our hunting experience in Nanhua Mountain National Forest Park, very satisfied and happy. Not only harvested a lot of animals, but also enjoyed a lot of scenery, more cherish and protect nature.
