Before heading to South Tai Shan, the three of us wisely chose to prepare thoroughly to ensure the smoothness and safety of our reunion journey. Given the nocturnal hunting nature of this trip, preparations were particularly critical. Here’s what we did:

1. Equipment Procurement: During the preparation phase, we first focused on acquiring essential equipment. South Tai Shan at Night:

As the night descended, the three of us, college buddies, stood at the base of South Tai Shan, ready to embark on our adventure. Fully equipped, we ventured into the thick forests, stepping into the unknown. This night was all about the hunt, and our core tools were the night vision binoculars and infrared binoculars.

These two pieces of equipment showcased remarkable capabilities. Night vision binoculars illuminated distant objects in complete darkness, as if opening a new world at night. We could observe wildlife activities clearly, from afar, without disturbing them. The infrared binoculars complemented these abilities, providing thermal imaging that allowed us to detect hotspots in our quarry, even in the pitch-black forest.

As the night grew deeper, we initiated the hunt. It was a profound experience; the forest at night felt like a mysterious maze full of unknowns and challenges. We moved cautiously, minimizing sound and light disturbances to avoid startling the wildlife. Periodically, we used night vision binoculars and infrared binoculars to search for our quarry, experiencing the tension and excitement of seeking life in the dark.

Though the primary objective of this nighttime hunt was adventure and experience, we had no intention of hunting or capturing wildlife. Instead, we observed nature as enthusiasts, appreciating the wonders of the natural world. We recorded every detail of this mystical night, preserving it in our memories and through our lenses.
