Last month, two of my friends, Hazel Warren and Claude Whittier and I decided to go hunting in Shenzhen’s Maluan Mountain to experience the thrill and fun of hunting at night. We are both into outdoor sports and adventure and hunting is a challenge and fun for us. To be able to see our targets in the dark, we chose a cost-effective Chinese brand WildGuarder owler1 night vision binoculars, which provide a clear view in no or low light conditions, allowing us to spot and track animals with ease. We also prepared some other necessary equipment, such as guns, bullets, knives, ropes, flashlights, first aid kits, etc.

Located at the junction of Pingshan New Area and Dapeng New Area, Shenzhen Maluan Mountain is one of the few beautiful mountains and forests that are adjacent to the city and not destroyed by man. It is connected to Sanzhoutian Reservoir in the west and Dapeng Bay in the east, and is adjacent to Xiaomesha and Xichong, which is the first choice of many donkeys for weekend hiking. Maluan Mountain is a mountain for the show, with undulating peaks, the highest peak less than 600 meters. The mountain is dense with plants, rich in species, thousands of acres of plum beds ten thousand plum blossoms is known far and wide. There are well-preserved Hakka houses with a history of more than 600 years and Lingnan style scattered in Maluan Mountain, and the humanistic landscape is very rich. There is also the largest waterfall in Shenzhen – Longtan Waterfall Group, which is the closest natural waterfall group in the coastal mountains to the city. There are both cascading waterfalls, as well as jumping and moving layers of plunging water, and there is no shortage of cheerful and quiet babbling brook. The number of waterfalls here, the large drop, the abundance of water, the beauty of the landscape, in Shenzhen and even the surrounding areas, can be said to be a rare ecological tourism natural attractions.

We chose to enter Malushan Park from the direction of Xiaomesha, walked along the side of the reservoir of the Cui Cui Lake to the end of the stream, and then began to trace the stream up the valley. This is a route full of primitive style, there is no artificial trestle, only the footsteps of previous people out of the mountain forest trails. We climbed rocks and walls, entered caves and streams, which was thrilling and romantic. Along the way we saw various forms of strange rocks, exotic flowers and plants, century-old trees, wild animals and more. We used WildGuarder owler1 night vision binoculars to observe some details that are hard to find with the naked eye, such as bird nests in the trees, bats in the caves, fish and shrimp in the water, and so on. We also took some photos with it and the results were very good. This night vision binoculars can not only see the target in the dark, but can also be used during the day, and can be connected to a phone or tablet via WiFi for remote viewing and control. It is also lightweight at 800 grams, making it easy to carry and operate. It also has a rugged case that can resist harsh environments such as water, dust, and vibration. It also has a long battery life, which can work continuously for more than 8 hours. All in all, it is a great night vision binocular for outdoor sports and adventure.

It took about 3 hours to reach the top of the mountain, where there is a plum viewing pavilion to enjoy the view of the mountain below. We rested there for a while and then went to the farmhouse we had booked in advance for lunch. It was a typical Hakka style farmhouse with simple but delicious dishes, such as salt-baked chicken, fried vermicelli, boiled rice, glutinous rice chicken and so on. We had a very full and satisfying meal and chatted with the farmer about the history and stories of Maluan Mountain. After the meal, we started to prepare for the afternoon hunting activity. We chose a hill not far from the farmhouse as the hunting site, where there were some wild rabbits, pheasants, goats and other animals. We split into two groups, one for ambush and shooting, and the other for luring and repelling. We all wore WildGuarder owler1 night vision binoculars to see our targets in the twilight. We also used them for wireless communication to exchange information and coordinate our actions in a timely manner.

The hunting process was very exciting and fun, and we encountered some difficulties, challenges and surprises. For example, at one point we spotted a large rabbit grazing and we crept up on it, ready to shoot, but just then an eagle suddenly descended from the sky and grabbed the rabbit, much to our dismay. Another example is that once we saw a flock of pheasants foraging for food, and we split up to encircle them, intending to kill them all, but just then a wild dog suddenly appeared behind us, scaring us and making us run away. On another occasion, we found a goat walking on a hillside, and we approached it cautiously, ready to shoot, but just then, the goat suddenly turned its head and bleated at us, surprising us. After hours of hard work and struggle, we finally captured several rabbits, pheasants and goats, which we handled and preserved with knives. We felt very satisfied and proud of our hunting results and took some group photos with WildGuarder owler1 night vision binoculars for memory.

That was the end of the hunting trip and we packed up our equipment and trophies and headed back down the hill along the Pan Mountain Road to Little Mesa. There we took a ride back to the Shenzhen city, and on the way we were still reminiscing about our hunting experience and sharing our thoughts and gains. We all felt that this hunting trip was very meaningful and unforgettable, not only did it let us experience the charm of hunting at night, but also let us enjoy the beautiful scenery of Shenzhen Maluan Mountain, and also let us have a deeper understanding and love of WildGuarder owler1 night vision binoculars. We all said that if there is a chance, we would like to go hunting in Maluan Mountain again, and also want to recommend this night vision binoculars to more friends.

To sum up, our hunting trip was a very successful and enjoyable trip, we not only enjoyed the fun, excitement and challenge of hunting, but also appreciated the natural scenery and human landscape of Shenzhen Maluan Mountain, and also experienced the powerful functions and excellent quality of WildGuarder owler1 night vision binoculars. We are full of love and praise for Shenzhen Maluan Mountain, and also full of satisfaction and recommendation for WildGuarder owler1 night vision binoculars.
