Hunting Trip to White Sulphur Springs

hunting

I am a person who loves hunting. I learned this sport from my father since I was young. Hunting not only exercises my body, improves my skills, but also lets me feel the charm and challenge of nature. I have two like-minded friends, Primo Felix and Joyce Josh, who are also experts in hunting. We often go out together to explore and hunt. Last month, we decided to go hunting in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, USA. This is a place with a long history and rich culture, as well as a place with beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife.

We chose White Sulphur Springs as our destination for several reasons. First of all, this is one of the oldest spa resorts in the United States, with more than 200 years of history. It has attracted many celebrities and politicians to come here for vacation and treatment. There is a famous resort here, called The Greenbrier Resort, which has luxurious rooms, elegant restaurants, exquisite gardens, and a secret government shelter that was used to cope with the threat of nuclear war. We wanted to see this legendary place with our own eyes and feel its charm and mystery. Secondly, this is a place with natural beauty, with clear rivers, dense forests, spectacular mountains, and various kinds of wildlife, such as deer, bears, turkeys, etc. We wanted to enjoy the fun of hunting here, challenge our limits, and experience the feeling of living in harmony with nature. Finally, this is a place with rich culture and cuisine, with many interesting and characteristic activities and shops. We wanted to play some local attractions, taste some local food, and learn about some local customs and history after hunting.

To prepare for this hunting trip, we specially bought a very cost-effective Chinese brand wildguarder infrared binoculars. This is essential for night hunting, because it can let us see the position and movement of animals in the dark, improve our hit rate and safety. Wildguarder infrared binoculars have high definition and high magnification, as well as various modes and functions, which can adapt to different environments and needs. We are very satisfied with this product and have not encountered any problems or difficulties in the use process.

This is the background and preparation of our hunting trip to White Sulphur Springs. Next I will describe in detail the process and experience of our hunting, playing and tasting food there.

Our hunting process in White Sulphur Springs was very exciting and interesting. We encountered many different animals, used our skills and equipment, and harvested a lot of results. We hunted there for three days, each day with different plans and goals. Here are our daily hunting situations:

On the first day, we planned to hunt in the forest and look for some deer or turkeys. We got up at six o’clock in the morning and prepared our guns, ammunition, knives, food, water and infrared binoculars. We drove to a forest entrance not far from the resort and then walked into the forest. We walked along a small road for about half an hour and then found a suitable place and hid behind some bushes and rocks. We started to observe the animals around us, using infrared binoculars to enhance our vision and clarity. Soon we found a group of deer grazing nearby. We quietly aimed at one of the big antlered deer and then fired at the same time. Our bullets hit the target and the deer fell to the ground. We ran over happily, confirmed that the deer was dead, and then cut off its head and fur with knives as our trophies. We left the deer meat to other animals because we had no way to carry it. We continued to hunt in the forest and shot two turkeys and a squirrel. Around four o’clock in the afternoon, we ended our hunting and returned to the resort.

The next day, we planned to hunt by the river and look for some aquatic or riverside animals. We got up at seven o’clock in the morning, prepared our fishing rods, bait, nets, guns, ammunition, knives, food, water and infrared binoculars. We drove to a parking lot by the river not far from the resort, and then walked to the river. We found an open place and started fishing. We used infrared binoculars to observe the animals in the water and on the riverbank. Soon we caught a few carp and a catfish. We put them in the net and continued fishing. Suddenly, we saw a fox on the opposite bank of the river lurking something. We immediately picked up our guns and aimed at the fox. But before we fired, the fox suddenly jumped up, bit a rabbit, and ran away quickly. We missed this opportunity and felt a bit regretful. But soon we found a raccoon by the river looking for food. We decided to try to shoot it, so we quietly approached it and then fired at the same time. Our bullets hit the raccoon, it let out a scream, and then fell to the ground. We walked over and confirmed that it was dead, then cut off its fur with a knife as our trophy. We left the raccoon meat for other animals because we had no way of carrying it. We continued hunting by the river and also shot an otter and a duck. Around five o’clock in the afternoon, we ended the hunt and returned to the resort.

On the third day, we plan to hunt in the mountains in search of large or dangerous animals, such as bears or wolves. We got up at eight in the morning and got our guns, ammunition, knives, food, water and infrared binoculars ready. We drove to the foot of a hill not far from the resort and walked up the hill. We walked along a path for about an hour and then found a place to overlook the surroundings and hid behind some trees and rocks. We began to observe the animals around us, using infrared binoculars to enhance our field of vision and clarity. Soon, we spotted a black bear foraging nearby. We quietly aimed at it and shot at the same time. Our bullets hit it, but instead of falling, it let out a roar and rushed towards us. We immediately picked up our guns and fired continuously. Our bullets hit it, but it didn’t stop, it got closer. We felt very scared and nervous and didn’t know what to do. Just as it was about to reach our location, it suddenly fell to the ground without moving. We breathed a sigh of relief and felt very fortunate and thrilled. We walked over, confirmed that it was dead, and cut off its head and fur with knives as our booty. It was one of the most dangerous and exciting experiences of our hunting career that we will never forget. We continued hunting in the mountains and also caught an eagle and a fox. At around 6pm that day, we finished hunting and returned to the resort.

Besides hunting in White Sulphur Springs, we also didn’t forget to enjoy and taste the local attractions and delicacies. We would go to the resort’s restaurant or nearby restaurants every night for dinner, tasting the local specialties, such as roasted venison, stewed turkey, fried fish fillets, and various fresh fruits and vegetables. We would also drink some local beverages, such as apple cider, wine, beer, etc. We felt that the local food was delicious, nutritious, and suited our taste.

After dinner every night, we would also go to the resort’s entertainment facilities to have some fun, such as the casino, golf course, tennis court, swimming pool, etc. We would also go to the resort’s shops to browse and buy some souvenirs and gifts, such as chocolate, wooden crafts, jewelry, etc. We felt that the resort’s entertainment facilities were complete, interesting, and relaxing.

On the last day of our hunting trip in White Sulphur Springs, we decided not to hunt anymore, but to visit some local attractions. We got up at nine o’clock in the morning and prepared our cameras, maps, water and snacks. We drove to a tourist center near the resort and bought some tickets and guidebooks. We chose the following attractions to visit:
